AVH Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program: Breathe Better with Us!The Androscoggin Valley Hospital Cardiopulmonary Department offers a Pulmonary Rehabilitation Program for patients with pulmonary disease through education, prevention, exercise, and aggressive disease management. The Program includes exercises and activities which increase physical capacity and help participants carry on activities of daily living with less difficulty. The Program is led by Medical Director Debra Perry, MD, Internist, and Ann Morin, RN, Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation Coordinator. Community Events"Simple Carbohydrate Counting" is Topic of Free Diabetes Education Class to be Held on August 5 A free Diabetes Education Class will be held on Tuesday, August 5, 2008, from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM in the AVH Lecture Room. Cindy King, RN, BSN, CDE, AVH Diabetes Educator, will present on "Simple Carbohydrate Counting." The class is open to the public, and refreshments will be served.
